"Fracture" title sequence design

Finally i'm done with the title sequence i designed for the movie "Fracture". This is an assignment i did for the Time Based Media class. It's really hectic to film it as i don't have the proper tripod or tools to get a nice and smooth movement of getting the camera running around everywhere >.<. Most of the shots are hand-held shots and my hands were shaky as hell! -_-" but anyway... i kinda like a few shots which i did, tho its shaky. XD
I really like the song from deftones and it just happens that this song fits into my video! how lucky i am!

Story Synopsis
Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins), an aeronautic structural engineer, found out that his wife (Embeth Davidtz) had an affair with detective Rob (Billy Burke). So, Ted planned a perfect murder to kill his wife and framed Rob so that he was the one who'd killed Ted's wife and Ted could escape without being charged. So, DA William Beachum (Ryan Gosling) was incharge to put Ted in jail for killing his own wife.

Direction of Title Sequence
Ted-aeronautic structural enginner-good in doing precise calculations and maths. Thus, the idea "mathematic equations" is used to create this title sequence. As for the lighting and mood of the title sequence, a very dark, dim and moody mood is used.

Softwares: Adobe After Effects CS3
Tools/Equipments: Canon DV Cam ZR850 + Canon DSLR 400D
Music: Change (In The House Of Flies) by Deftones
I really like the song from deftones and it just happens that this song fits into my video! how lucky!

Change (In the House of Flies) by Deftones

me sad =(

i'm sprung.
guts is all i need.
made a move.
what done is done.
but...
all hope is gone.
dreams shattered.
emotionally lost.
the missing pieces in untraceable.
the downfall of a person
drifted away.
i guess it's time to move on and say...
"NEXT!"

I Can't Forget The Girl I Never Met by 3-11 Porter

I saw a picture on the front page of an old magazine

And this picture has been with me ever since

I can’t forget
It was the girl from the movie of the year
She danced and she laughed
And gave a piece of herself to this world
I can’t forget

I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl with stars in her eyes

I saw her walk in rain and in sunshine too
And I saw her smile from the back seat of a passing car
I can’t forget
Was she the girl,
From the front page of an old magazine?
She lived like she died
When she died she died like a wind

I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl I never met
I can’t forget the girl with stars in her eyes

Furby Comes to Live

Read this article from Yahoo! News. So the credit of the articles goes to the writer Sandra Maler). It seems that this cute lil' fela resembles "Furby". I'm sure most of you know what a "Furby" is and you've seen this felas in any of the toy store especially toy 'r' us. Go google for those who doesn't know what a "Furby" is. =) Well, one of my housemate wanted to get one for his christmas present tho. I don't think i'll want him as my christmas pressie. I want a polar bear cub as my christmas pressie!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – On a misty mountaintop on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, scientists for the first time in more than eight decades have observed a living pygmy tarsier, one of the planet's smallest and rarest primates.

Over a two-month period, the scientists used nets to trap three furry, mouse-sized pygmy tarsiers -- two males and one female -- on Mt. Rore Katimbo in Lore Lindu National Park in central Sulawesi, the researchers said on Tuesday.

They spotted a fourth one that got away.

The tarsiers, which some scientists believed were extinct, may not have been overly thrilled to be found. One of them chomped Sharon Gursky-Doyen, a Texas A&M University professor of anthropology who took part in the expedition.

"I'm the only person in the world to ever be bitten by a pygmy tarsier," Gursky-Doyen said in a telephone interview.

"My assistant was trying to hold him still while I was attaching a radio collar around its neck. It's very hard to hold them because they can turn their heads around 180 degrees. As I'm trying to close the radio collar, he turned his head and nipped my finger. And I yanked it and I was bleeding."

The collars were being attached so the tarsiers' movements could be tracked.

Tarsiers are unusual primates -- the mammalian group that includes lemurs, monkeys, apes and people. The handful of tarsier species live on various Asian islands.

As their name indicates, pygmy tarsiers are small -- weighing about 2 ounces (50 grammes). They have large eyes and large ears, and they have been described as looking a bit like one of the creatures in the 1984 Hollywood movie "Gremlins."

They are nocturnal insectivores and are unusual among primates in that they have claws rather than finger nails.

They had not been seen alive by scientists since 1921. In 2000, Indonesian scientists who were trapping rats in the Sulawesi highlands accidentally trapped and killed a pygmy tarsier.

"Until that time, everyone really didn't believe that they existed because people had been going out looking for them for decades and nobody had seen them or heard them," Gursky-Doyen said.

Her group observed the first live pygmy tarsier in August at an elevation of about 6,900 feet.

"Everything was covered in moss and the clouds are right at the top of that mountain. It's always very, very foggy, very, very dense. It's cold up there. When you're one degree from the equator, you expect to be hot. You don't expect to be shivering most of the time. That's what we were doing," she said.

it's SNOWY time

Well, it seems that lately there's been some snowing at my place. I guess it's winter now. I've receive an email from my Student International Office Adviser stating that it's officially winter now in Detroit. This is what she said:
"Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the snow. It's officially winter in Michigan...."
It's 0207 now and it's -3ºC out there. Yikes! It's never fun to live in a country when it's really cold. Yesterday, I thought of going out to snap some pics around my college area for my photography assignment and it snowed the day before yesterday and also yesterday. It's super freezin' out there and my hands were numb even tho i had put on the gloves. It's really hard to snap the pics while adjusting the lens and all with the gloves on. >.<" Anyway, the entire college was covered with snows and it's snowed pretty heavy while i was out taking pics. -_-" i hope i could get some decent shots for my assignments.

Classic Movies

It seems that lately i've been watching alot of classic movies as in not those blakc and white movies, urgh.. hate those. What i'm saying is those 80s-90s hit movies that i used to watch them when i was a lil' dude. Been watching movies like Robocop, TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Apollo 13, Superman & Ghostbusters. Will be watching Terminator or Batman or maybe something else =P. It does bring back lots of good memories and i can remember those scenes too. XD
Well, funny thing is, i don't have any pictures of watchin Robocop 3 when i was young. Did i missed it? or my parents never bring me to the movies? hrm...
Anyway, i kinda like this song below:

It's Jazz Time!

It seems that lately I've been addicted by listening to Jazz music. It's such a lovely music to listen to. It's really a music for total pure relaxation. Sweet! Well, the album which I'm currently listening at is really really good. They have alot of good Jazz music. For those who really loves Jazz musics, you should grab this album. You'll never regret!
Anyway, i started to realize that my taste for music is evolving throughout the years. Last time i used to listen to a lot of metal, heavy metal, punk, screamo, emo, post hardcore, etc. kind of music but as the years go by, i started to listen to soft, lounge, jazz, blues, chillout, buddha bar, house music, etc. but not classical or folk music! Even though my taste for music had changed, but i still love to listen to Punk, Screamo, heavy metal, post hardcore, etc. kind of music. Those music are still my favorite. Will never stop listnening to it! It's so dope man!
